Need to access your voice mail but can't get to your cell phone?
If you find yourself sans cell phone or with an uncharged cell phone and need to access your voicemail, don't fret. Most (if not all) cell phone companies allow you to access your voicemail over a landline or another cell phone number.
One advantage to accessing voicemail over a land line versus your cell phone is that you will skip cell phone per-minute charges when calling. However:
* Your carrier may impose additional charges for this feature.
* If your cell phone's area of service differs from the land line, your land line phone provider may charge for the call.
While the detailed instructions for remotely accessing your voicemail differ between cell phone services, it usually involves calling your cell phone number, entering an asterisk(*) or number sign (#), and keying in your password.
For more detailed information, visit your wireless carrier's website and search for "voicemail instructions" or similar. You may also find help in their "Customer Service" section.
